Information you give us. When you place an order, submit an inquiry, create an account or contact us, we may collect:

Order details: items ordered, pickup or delivery date and time, custom cake specifications, special instructions, and order history.
Account, loyalty and gift card information: login details for your member account, loyalty points and rewards, and gift card purchases, balances and recipient details.
Inquiry content: messages, event details, and photos or design inspiration images you upload with a custom order or inquiry.
Dietary and allergy information: allergies, food sensitivities or dietary needs you choose to share so we can prepare your order.
Marketing preferences: whether you have signed up for our email or text message communications.

Payment information. Online payments are processed by Wix Payments. We do not receive or store your full card number. We may receive limited details such as the card type, the last four digits, and confirmation that the payment went through.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the website that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. Allergy and Dietary Information

Allergy, food sensitivity and dietary information you share with us is treated as sensitive. We use it only to prepare and fulfill the order you requested and to communicate with you about it. We never sell it or use it for advertising.

Allergen notice. Bethany's Bakery is not an allergen-free facility. Our kitchen handles common allergens, including wheat, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy and sesame. We follow strict sanitation practices and take care to prevent cross-contact, but we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free of any allergen. Please contact us before ordering if you have a severe allergy.

Data Retention and Security

We keep personal information only as long as needed to fulfill orders, maintain your account and loyalty rewards, honor gift card balances, keep business and tax records, and meet legal obligations. Photos and allergy details shared for a specific order are kept only as long as needed for that order and our records.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. Payments are processed through Wix's secure checkout. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Customers under 18 should place orders, create accounts and make payments only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly sell the personal information of anyone under 18 or use it for targeted advertising.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, including under the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act, you may have the right to:

Confirm whether we process your personal information and access a copy of it.
Correct inaccurate personal information.

You can also update account details through your member account, unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, and reply STOP to stop text messages.

We will respond within the time required by law. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will tell you the outcome of your appeal. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. If we make significant changes, we may also notify you by email or through our website.
